Children's Christmas Pageant
Children ages 4+ are invited to participate in the First Church Christmas Pageant! This special tradition offers children the opportunity to lead in worship and share the nativity story. Costumes provided!
Manse Open House
Members and friends in the community are invited to stop in for a drink, snack, and conversation. The Manse will be open to come-and-go guests, with no RSVP required

Community Holiday Concert
Enjoy a community holiday gathering in our historic sanctuary on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. This festive evening will feature Christmas and Hanukkah songs by the Harbor Bells and First Church handbell groups, a vocal quartet, singalong songs, and more. Service of Lessons & Carols
This traditional worship service celebrates the birth of Jesus as told in short Bible readings interspersed with Christmas anthems and hymns. Our Chancel and Handbell Choirs will be featured in a program brimming with music guaranteed to fill your hearts with the spirit of Christmas. All are welcome!

Book Club
At its first gathering of the new year, the Book Club will discuss Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah, author of the smash-hit best-seller The Nightingale. The novel explores the question, “Can a woman ever really know herself if she doesn't know her mother?” In it, a pair of sisters are confronted with the hidden life story of their own parents, a captivating, mysterious love story that spans 65 years and moves from frozen, war torn Leningrad to modern-day Alaska.
Book Club
Book and Dagger: How Scholars and Librarians Became the Unlikely Spies of World War II, nonfiction by Elysse Graham, is the subject of the Book Club’s March discussion. It brings to life the previously untold tale of the academics who became OSS spies, invented modern spy-craft, and helped turn the tide of the war. The author takes readers all over the world to show how, as Nazis burned books, book lovers were defending the freedom of ideas.
